ghost runner on first - 10/8
i should probably look to updating this a bit more frequently. i haven't really been feeling well recently. but! we had a blast at our first gig, being able to show everyone what's been in store for almost 3 years now is such a weight and the reciprocation was beautiful. Old School Physical Media Group filmed the first performance and you can watch it here. I'll post the embed next to this too. our next gig is with Cheem. at the milestone on 10/20 in Charlotte, NC. i think i've fallen into an idea for what direction i want this little project to go visually. we just finished our 6th track too, called ghost runner on first. very big into the baseball playoffs right now (cubbies) - and a friend of mine and i were talking about our history with playing the sport and how when you didn't have enough players for a full match you'd yell "ghost runner on first" or whatever base just to have note that if you hit a single, the ghost runner made it to second if you made it to first, etc. etc. i totally forgot about that until a couple days ago. but this new track is honestly the best depiction of what this band sounds like now, and we're going to debut it at the milestone. coming up on 10/20. also, i'm going to post some of the pictures i've taken recently below this that i'll probably use for show flyers in the future, or even merch ideas. I may just print them to sell as merch too, my favorite is the shadows of the 3 of us from last rehearsal. i also just found this new band that i've been sharing with everyone "Shallowater" from Texas - they really captivate the twang-shoegaze thing, it's absolutely perfect, not to mention the album they just put out "God's gonna give you a million dollars." has such a good name. anyhow, I'll keep this updated more often, i hope you've had a nice couple weeks! cya soon -lmkc
our first show announcement - 8/21
hey everyone, we have an exciting announcement! this project is roughly 3 years old at this point. with so many line-up changes, ups and downs (mostly ups), and so many songs discarded and revisited, but it has finally happened. if you are following these updates here, i really appreciate you. I have this small idea to turn this site into mostly where we share information about what's happening with the project and sharing what we are creating or wish to create along with photos and videos etc. etc. I'd just like to get away from the social media platforms specifically and keep this up as a sort of blog where you can actually see things and connect with us on a more comfortable level. The contact form and all that goes straight to our email so if you have any questions involving what you see or hear about lmkc we'd be happy to share it with you whether that be booking, tabs, or just questions about anything really. our first gig is at Snug Harbor in Charlotte, NC on 8/27 | TICKETS HERE | with Pleasure House, and Madison's Harley (next Wednesday) from this post! -lmkc
we’ve got enough smoke - 7/16
there's this video by a band we all like named Tangled Hair from the UK. if you haven't heard them before, you can check it out here. the video shows the band playing live at Bad Pond in 2019 and they're getting slammed with fog from the fog machines. Alan says "we got enough smoke" quite monotone and it is an ongoing inside joke we say to each other in lmkc. so we decided to finally give "song 1" the name. a show has been booked too which is awesome. last rehearsal we finished up the very first run through our set front to back and it's immaculate how this has come together. we're so excited to share it with you all. anywho, love you forever see you soon.-lmkc
godspeed directional - 7/9
i found this really nice way of editing photos a couple days ago, it has this sort of melancholic feel to it. i basically have a motion blur direct over top of a vintage photo copy style. it gives the feeling that you just woke up from an hour nap in a moving car on your way across the midwest. or just eerie in general? idunno, anyhow i'm going to stick with that style for now. i also reached out to some local venues to get a debut show on the books!-lmkc

the tenth beginning - 5/28
We start once again, revisiting old ideas and turning them into something we can share with everyone. We've completed our lineup, and we are almost finished with our first record. No title as of now, but that's usually how it goes. We hope you enjoy this experience just as much as we have creating it. -lmkc
